Adding To The Street Scene

Shoe Zone and Swatch added to the street scene. Several lights have been added to highlight certain areas of the scene and create more of an atmosphere.

Below is a newspaper which would have been left, just before the meteor hit. Headline show news of an evacuation. This will be animated and appear to blow in the wind, whilst pinned down by a piece of debris. Litter is scattered around the area from a fallen trash can.

Begun modelling the street around the cathedral. Here I've included Starbucks to the right and knocked down a section of the upper left of the gate

New Building On The Street

The next building I have made is to go on the opposite side of the alley from the already made Pret A Manger. This includes the Swatch and Shoe Zone shops from Canterbury High Street which have been renamed within the scene for copyright purposes. I have not yet started to model the damage inflicted on the building however, here is the complete unscathed version below.

Street Scene Objects

Some more street objects have now been added such as bins and bollards. An broken wall has been created using the BlastCode 1.6 plugin. This can be seen on the left of the picture above with the rubble strewn across the road.

Street Scene Progress

The image above shows detail of damage around the window from a recent collapse.
As you can see other street objects have been placed within the scene such as, street lamps, trees and rubble.

This image shows more of the damaged building and surrounding street area.

View of the damaged building with cathedral looming in the background. Structure of another damaged building can be seen to the left.

Initial texturing

Here we have produced a mental ray texture with the addition of very basic textures to get and idea of how the damage may appear.
